  • redy Launch

By Louise Danson • Wednesday 25 February 2015

redy mobile payment system was successfully launched in Hurstbridge on Saturday 14 February and Diamond Creek on Saturday 21 February 2015.  With torrential rain in Hurstbridge and soaring heat in Diamond Creek, it was great to see so many community members and staff attending.  Many people have already downloaded the redy app and started shopping with it at local businesses.  To get started all you need to do is download the redy app to your smartphone, register and start spending.  You will earn 'creds' which can be redeemed within the redy network or donated to local community projects and charities.  redy is a great way to support local business and community groups.  For more information or assistance go to redy.com.au or talk to the staff at the Hurstbridge or Diamond Creek branches.

One sponsor recipient announced that we were "phenomenal to deal with and look what they do for the community."  It was a great opportunity for directors, staff, shareholders and sponsor recipients to meet, chat and hear the Community Bank story.

Yet another fantastic town fair took place on Saturday 13 September.  The theme was "Books on Parade" and there were many clever costumes.  Piggy even dressed up as Peppa Pig, which thrilled the children!  Tina and staff worked tirelessly all day manning their stall and the 'money grab machine'.  Once again the Diamond Creek branch sponsored the fireworks, capping off a great day.

By Melissa Vickrage • Friday 10 February 2012

On 10 February 2012, the Community Bank Stadium was officially opened.  This was a $10.6 million project, the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken by Nillumbik Shire Council.  The project was on hold for a prolonged period due to the shortfall in funding but with the help of the Valley Group through a donation and payment for naming rights, the Community Bank Stadium is now a reality.  In fact the Council estimates that around 6,000 people per week will use the Stadium, and will encompass not only local schools but many sporting clubs and organisations, as well as the general public.
